Terms of service

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions apply to all individuals booking onto training courses with Cedars Training Academy ("we", "us", "our"). By registering for a course, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Alterations to Services and Prices

We reserve the right to amend, suspend, or discontinue any course, price, or service without prior notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modifications, price changes, suspension, or course discontinuation.

3. Changes to Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any updates will be made available on our website. Continued use of our services after updates constitutes acceptance of the new Terms and Conditions.

4. Bookings

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking unless a payment plan is arranged (e.g., Pay in 3 via PayPal or Pay in 4 via Clearpay).

  • Bookings made within 48 hours of the course start date may not be accepted. Please contact us directly by email or telephone to confirm last-minute availability.

  • All bookings are subject to acceptance and availability.

5. Course Rescheduling and Cancellations

  • Student Cancellations: All courses are non-refundable and non-transferable. We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice if you cannot attend a course. Failure to provide this notice may result in the inability to reschedule your course dates.

  • Provider Cancellations: If Cedars Training Academy needs to cancel or reschedule a course due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., low enrolment numbers, adverse weather, or natural disasters), we will provide at least 48 hours’ notice where possible. Students will be offered an alternative course date at the earliest available opportunity. In such cases, no refund will be provided.

  • In the event that minimum booking numbers are not reached, we reserve the right to postpone the course.

6. Attendance

  • Students must attend all sessions of their booked course.

  • Late arrival, absence, or early departure may affect your ability to complete the course and achieve certification. Cedars Training Academy is under no obligation to offer catch-up sessions, and where available, these may incur an additional charge.

  • We reserve the right to withhold certificates for non-attendance or poor attendance.

  • Any required absences (e.g., religious holidays) must be discussed and agreed prior to booking.

7. Assessment

  • Cedars Training Academy reserves the right to change assessment dates, locations, or content without notice.

  • If a student fails to attend or pass an assessment due to negligence (e.g., poor attendance, incomplete coursework), additional sessions may be required at an additional cost.

  • We are not obliged to offer the next available assessment date if a student misses their original booking.

  • For courses that require case study completion, a final submission deadline will be agreed between the tutor and student. Timely submission is essential to demonstrate competency. Failure to submit case studies by the agreed deadline may result in non-completion of the course.

  • On rare occasions, you may be required to make arrangements of your own model in order to practice treatments during the course. If this is the case, Cedars Training Academy will inform you in advance. If you are unable to provide a model, you must discuss this with your course tutor at least 48 hours before your course date to explore alternative arrangements.

8. Certification

  • Successful students will be issued with a digital e-certificate upon completion of their course.

  • If a printed physical certificate is required, a ÂŁ15.00 administration fee will apply. This fee includes certificate printing and postage costs.

  • Requests for printed certificates must be submitted in writing. Certificates will only be issued to students who have successfully completed all course requirements.

9. Conduct and Appearance

  • Students must dress professionally at all times (beauty uniform or black/white top with black trousers; jeans are not permitted).

  • Rude, abusive, or disruptive behaviour will result in immediate removal from the course without refund. In such cases, fees paid will be forfeited

  • Students must maintain the cleanliness of training rooms.

  • Damage to Academy property will be charged to the responsible individual(s). Where necessary, criminal damage will be reported to the relevant authorities and will result in immediate removal from the course. In such cases, fees paid will be forfeited

  • Theft will not be tolerated. Such offences will be reported to the relevant authorities and will result in immediate removal from the course. In such cases, fees paid will be forfeited

10. Health and Safety

  • Students must comply with all Health and Safety instructions issued by Cedars Training Academy staff during their course.

11. Practical Training and Liability Disclaimer

  • As part of the learning process, students may be required to practice treatments on each other under supervision.

  • While all reasonable precautions are taken, by booking onto the course you acknowledge and accept that there is a risk of minor injury during practical activities (e.g., bruising, skin irritation, allergic reactions, etc.).

  • Cedars Training Academy will not be held liable for any injuries sustained during training unless caused directly by proven negligence on the part of Cedars Training Academy or its staff.

  • Students are responsible for informing the trainer before participating if they have any medical conditions, allergies, or other health concerns that may affect their ability to safely participate in treatments.

  • Students must complete any required health or medical disclosure forms prior to participating in practical activities. Failure to disclose relevant conditions may result in removal from the course at Cedars Training Academy's discretion. In such cases, fees paid will be forfeited.

We are committed to promoting equality of opportunity. No applicant, student, or staff member will receive less favourable treatment on the grounds of age, sex, race, nationality, disability, religious or political beliefs. We treat individuals based on merit and ability alone.

16. Data Protection

By registering for a course, you consent to Cedars Training Academy processing your personal information in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and our Privacy Policy. Your personal data will only be used for purposes connected to your training, assessment, and certification.

This includes, but is not limited to, acts of God, natural disasters, epidemics or pandemics, strikes, or interruptions to utilities or transportation.

18. Complaints and Disputes

In the event of a complaint, students should raise their concerns in writing to hello@cedarstrainingacademy.co.uk within 7 days of the issue arising. Cedars Training Academy will aim to respond promptly and seek a fair resolution.
