Anyone aged 16 or over can apply for an apprenticeship, whether you are leaving school, changing careers or already working in the industry.

No previous experience is required for Level 2 apprenticeships. You just need enthusiasm, commitment and a willingness to learn.

Most Level 2 apprenticeships typically take between 12–24 months. Level 3 programmes usually take between 18–20 months, depending on the qualification.

Yes. Apprentices are employed and must be paid at least the National Minimum Wage for apprentices. Many employers choose to pay more.

You will need to achieve English and Maths at Level 1 and attempt Level 2 Functional Skills if not already achieved.

There is no course fee for the apprentice. Apprenticeships are government funded, although employers may need to contribute depending on eligibility.
