Programme Overview:
The Level 2 Beauty Therapist apprenticeship prepares apprentices to work as professional beauty therapists within salons, spas, cruise ships and high-end treatment environments.
This apprenticeship is aligned to the Beauty Therapist Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard and develops the practical skills, technical knowledge and professional behaviours required to operate successfully in the beauty industry.
Beauty Therapists deliver essential face and body treatments while maintaining high standards of hygiene, client care, professionalism and commercial awareness.

Apprentices can continue their development through our advanced training courses, designed to build specialist and higher-level skills beyond the core apprenticeship.

The standard on-programme duration is 14 months, followed by a 3-month End-Point Assessment (EPA) period.
A fast-track route of 8 months (plus 3 months EPA) may be available, subject to prior learning, relevant experience and employer agreement in line with apprenticeship funding rules.

Yes. In addition to achieving the full Level 2 Beauty Therapist apprenticeship standard, apprentices benefit from additional professional development opportunities designed to enhance credibility and workplace readiness.
Apprentices are supported to access student membership with the British Association of Beauty Therapy & Cosmetology (British Association of Beauty Therapy & Cosmetology (BABTAC)), helping them demonstrate professionalism, stay informed about industry standards and begin building their professional profile within the beauty sector.
They also complete an independently CPD-accredited Health and Safety course aligned with current UK legislation. This strengthens understanding of safe working practices, infection control, risk awareness and salon compliance requirements.
